Human oversight
Mandatory. StatemAInt is decision support; a qualified assessor reviews every output before a lending decision.

What StatemAInt does

  • Transaction extraction

Extracts every transaction from PDF bank statements with a confidence score and source lineage (page, bounding box, source text) on each field.

  • Fraud and tamper detection

Flags signs of statement tampering and income manipulation, including balance discontinuities. Every flag ships with the reason it fired — no black-box scores.

  • Spend behaviour analysis

Categorises spending and analyses income patterns for affordability assessment.

  • Risk and serviceability modelling

Models serviceability with configurable rules and exports structured decision reports (PDF and CSV).

How the workflow runs

The workflow is human-in-the-loop by design. Automation does the reading; credit analysts make the call.

  1. Upload or connect — statements arrive as PDF uploads or via a CDR data feed connection (Growth plan and above).
  2. Automated extraction — the pipeline extracts transactions with confidence scores.
  3. Analyst review queue — a human assessor reviews and corrects extractions; every correction is attributed, timestamped and stored with its reason.
  4. Insight report — AI-generated behavioural and risk insights, each with an explanation.
  5. Decision export — structured output for the lending decision, with the full audit trail attached.

Security and data handling

  • Australian data residency — statement data is stored and processed in Australia.
  • Encryption — TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest, tenant-isolated storage.
  • Audit trail — every extraction, correction and override is attributed and timestamped.
  • Explainability — every flag ships with the reason it fired; no black-box scores.
  • CDR-aligned handling — consent, minimisation and deletion aligned to Consumer Data Right rules.
  • Certifications — SOC 2 and ISO 27001 are on the published roadmap, not yet held.
